The coolest underground film festival in Taipei is back for its best and liveliest show EVER, with an opening party you seriously don’t want to miss. So this is the big shebang, in a 50-year-old dance hall with some crazy films, two beer sponsors and three live bands playing till late. In fact, this whole deal doing the night in Ximending got us so excited that we designed a series of programs to make sure you’d be ultra sensitively satisfied… and slightly scandalized. It all begins at 7pm. At 8pm, a punk rock band in Beijing takes us through a 45-day drunken tour that shows you what Chinese rockers are all about. (Disclaimer: the film will also give you a hangover you never knew was possible) This will be followed by live shows from three local bands, including expat group PUBLIC RADIO. Party goes on all night. So, get your party hats, party shoes, or whatever else you want on, gather your crew, and head on down to Ximending for Urban Nomad Film Festival 2008 OPENING PARTY!!!!!
